The City of ...Wurzburg

Today a little wrinkle. It seems the dock workers went on strike, which means we are stuck at a certain point in the river. So the busses are taking us to our excursions. Luckily late tonight we were told we can move on.....Thx.goodness! 

We went to the Palace  of Wurzburg   today. Spectacular and overwhelming. We were not allowed to take pictures inside. It was overwhelming. 

There were rooms inside that were painted, gilded and so ornate it was almost too much and sickening. However, they were beyond imagination.

After the tour we went back to the ship. They had set up a barb que on the deck. Hamburgers and French fries for everyone. After, we were very tired,  it was time for siesta , we slept for three hours. We went to the lounge at 6:45 pm for an update on the strike. Lucky for us, we left at 8:00 to continue down the river. All is good.  

The upstairs deck has been very hot. The weather has been unusually hot. We are fortunate but the poor air conditioning has been working over time. We are sailing overnight to make it through the locks.
