July 19, 2015. Our First day on the cruise. Chalone sur Saone

In the morning we had a lovely breakfast at the hotel campanile , but after breakfast it was time to say goodbye to Marja and George. 

We had a wonderful time with Marja and Geoge. They were amazing hosts who showed us some wonderful sights of the Netherlands . I will always be grateful of the great time we had at their home. Marja was so considerate of us and made sure we were always comfortable. Thank goodness they were so kind to drive us to Chalone sur Saone. We said our goodbyes and we are hoping to see them next year in our home.

After breakfast, we walked a bit around Chalone. It was Sunday, so the streets were empty and quiet. Tony found a technical school. 

At 11:00 am the taxi came and picked us up to take us to Viking Buri.

Aboard the ship they were very welcoming . We had a light lunch on the terrace, and then we checked into our rooms.

In the afternoon we took the tour of old Chalone. It was very fascinating.

Back on the ship, dinner was amazing. We had a reception after on the top deck. Tomorrow, a tour in the morning and then we sail after lunch.
