Thursday July 23, 2015. Tournon and Viviers.

Another beautiful day.  Walking tour of Tournon this morning.

Marc Seguin built the first suspension bridge here across the Rhone river.

Lots of vineyards on terraced mountainsides.

It is a twin city. Tain l'Hermitage is across the river.
The Musee Palue in Tournon.
A home dedicated to painters.
Lovely gardens.
Art everywhere.
The terraced vineyards overlooking the Rhone river.
The suspension bridge.
Touring the small winery. We tasted two reds and a white.
The oak barrels are used for 3 to 5 years.
They have a lovely garden in the south of France .
The grapes are early.
We were allowed to pick some as well as some apricots.
The chocolate factory.

The chocolate was excellent. At night we toured the city of Viviers. This was at 10:00 pm. Unfortunately quite dark to take decent pictures. A really quaint place. Would love to see this charming town in the daytime.
